What is a Body LanguageCourse?

Explore Our Expert Accredited Body Language Training Courses and Get Certified for Success!

Accelerate Your Career. Change your Life. Start and Grow Your Business.

Great communication is one of the most important keys to success in your personal and professional life. As 93% of communication has nothing to do with the actual words you and others say, it is essential to become a skilled body language reader and an expert at portraying your body language in the way you want it to be received.

Taking an accredited body language course will give you those skills, and through practice you will develop this ability until it becomes second nature, and you don’t have to think about it anymore.

This is especially important if you are a business owner or manager who must communicate with employees, sub-contractors, prospects, clients and customers to have a successful business. It is also important if you want to have authentic and enjoyable relationships.

We are the only company in the world that has self-paced video trainings and offers one-on-one body language coaching.

What Are the 5 C's of Body Language?

The 5 C’s of body language criteria for accurate interpretations are:

1. Context

The best way to interpret body language is to always consider the context. A crossed-arm gesture might signal defensiveness in a tense meeting, but in a cold room, it could simply mean someone is trying to stay warm. When you analyze body language in the right context, you can discover deeper insights and make more accurate assessments, leading to new levels of understanding and connection.

The best way to accurately read body language is to first understand a person’s normal behavior. Observe how your subject naturally communicates when they are at ease, relaxed, or in a positive state. This new awareness helps you identify shifts in their behavior when stress or tension arises. By establishing a baseline, you can discover subtle variations that reveal deeper emotions and unspoken thoughts.

The best way to understand body language is to recognize that the limbic system constantly seeks safe and comfortable states. When discomfort arises, you will notice unconscious gestures aimed at restoring ease. By paying attention to these subtle cues, you can discover when someone feels secure or uneasy, allowing for new insights into their emotions and true thoughts.

Change is what you look for. The unconscious mind produces gestures to regain loss of comfort. Loss of comfort reveals negative emotions and leads to the appearance of gestures of reassurance. Like self-touches are produced on the body as the person interacts with their environment.

The best way to read body language is by looking at clusters of gestures rather than a single movement. When you observe four or more signs of discomfort or reassurance gestures, it confirms whether a person’s behavior is deliberate or spontaneous. By analyzing these new patterns, you can discover hidden emotions and gain deeper insight into their true feelings. Always ask yourself, “Why are they acting like that?” to unlock a new level of understanding.
